We were founder members of the consultancy unit formed by the Computer Aided Design Centre (CADCentre which is now Aveva in 1979.

CADCentre was created in Cambridge, UK in 1969 by the UK Ministry of Technology. Its mission was to develop computer aided engineering techniques and to promote their use in British industry.

We undertook consultancy assignments on behalf of CADCentre for a wide range of medium and large UK engineering companies. Most of these assignments were to analyse requirements and short-list suitable CAE systems. Often we undertook follow-up assignments, for example, to help design benchmark tests, prepare implementation plans or develop custom CAE software for company specific requirements.

We also worked on some CADCentre products. For example, we developed key parts of the CADCentre's turned parts estimating system (TPE) software.
